Paolo Maldonado is strongly against the departures of Quispe and Fossati: "Nobody is indispensable"

The departure of Jorge Fossati to the Peruvian team and the impending sale of Piero Quispe to Mexican football are two serious setbacks that Universitario has suffered as it approaches its 100th anniversary year. In the midst of this panorama and in the middle of the pre-season, the former footballer Paolo Maldonado spoke about both characters and said that no one is indispensable in the Merengue shop.

“It will happen in life. It happened today and it will continue to happen. The fan is often very sensitive, but life goes on. Everyone is important, but no one is indispensable. “Surely other Quispes and other Fossati will appear,” he said in a dialogue with 'Willax Sports'.

Reflecting on Quispe's departure abroad, the former midfielder praised the 22-year-old and said his humility could come in handy in his next challenges.

“I feel like he's a good boy, that he doesn't stray. I think this will help him and I hope he doesn't lose that humility because it will help him,” he noted.

Where will Piero Quispe play?

According to journalist Gustavo Peralta, Piero Quispe's future lies in Liga MX, specifically with the UNAM Pumas.

“Piero Quispe's move to Mexico's Pumas could top that 2 million dollars and Universitario de Deportes would retain a percentage of the pass for future sales. “The letter of intent from the Mexican club will arrive at the 'U' in the next few hours,” he explained in his X account.
