Video has emerged of a sickening moment in the Colorado Avalanche broadcast booth.

During a game a few weeks ago, color commentator Mark Rycroft took a sip from what he thought was his coffee cup. However, he made a terrible mistake.

The drink Rycroft took ended up not being water, tea or coffee, but rather the cup that play-by-play commentator Marc Moser spit into after chewing tobacco.

Rycroft realized his mistake as soon as he took the sip and quickly attempted to wash the taste of the discarded tobacco from his mouth with the other liquid containers he had within reach.

Moser then took a tissue and tore the lid off his tobacco cup after accidentally drinking it.

Both Moser and Rycroft were able to continue broadcasting throughout the entire ordeal, which was a testament to both men's professionalism.

Fellow broadcaster Vic Lombardi posted the video on social media.

He commented: “This video has been under wraps for several weeks.” But it's time. As a form of penance for @RadioMoser, we're finally releasing the video of @RycroftMark taking a sip of Moser's chewy spit DURING an Avalanche game.

'Enjoy. And Merry Christmas.'

Rycroft played for the Avalanche during the 2006-07 season and joined the commentary team in 2018.

Despite the mishap, it was an entertaining season for the “Avalanche” commentary duo.

The team is currently in first place in the Central Division with 42 points.
