Fabio Assunção leaves Globo after 33 years: “Gratitude”

Actor Fábio Assunção announced an outburst of anger this Friday (22) when he announced his departure from Globo after a 33year career with the channel. The artist will no longer have an exclusive contract with the company.
“You are part of this journey. We will continue together. Today is the summer solstice in Brazil. The longest day of the year and the beginning of summer. This marks the start of a new season. I would like to thank TV Globo for “These 33 years. Here's to the next 33!!! In 10 days I will complete a 33year cycle with TV Globo. Then we will start working on a new format,” he said.
As a veteran, Fábio remembered the professionals who are usually behind the scenes of production. “It's a story that can't be summarized in one post, not at all. For more than half of my life I have worked with professionals, technicians, directors, actors, actresses, screenwriters, writers, art directors and deceased personalities. [pessoas] Geniuses who disappeared. [Pessoas] I miss that and am grateful to have worked with these new personalities and with the new generation and new talent that are coming along.”
According to him, his departure is part of a mutual agreement between him and the channel and he took advantage of the end of the cycle to wish for new projects for next year.
“May 2024 be very successful for you and me and may we continue to work hard. This post is very special for me. My thanks. A kiss,” he added.
