One of the protagonists of the well-known series The Dukes of Hazzard, John Schneider, was targeted by the US secret service after he made very controversial statements on his social networks: he literally called for the killing of President Joe Biden of the country.

As Deadline reported, Schneider had called for the “public hanging of the president” on his official Twitter account, a message he deleted minutes later. From that moment on, the state body responsible for the president's private security began investigating him.
“We analyze all threats against our protectees and based on the intent, this falls within the definition of a threat,” a police source working for the Secret Service told the medium. Everything is in the preliminary stages of the process.

Joe Biden spoke out on the networks after the US court's decision not to let Donald Trump run as a presidential candidate in the next election.
“Trump poses many threats to our country: the right to vote, civil liberties, the right to vote and standing in the world. But the biggest threat it poses is to our democracy. If we lose this, we lose everything,” he tweeted.

Faced with this comment, the actor spoke out strongly. “Mr. President. I believe you are guilty of treason and should be publicly hanged. His son too. Your answer is…? Kind regards, John Schneider,” he replied.
In statements to People magazine and Deadline, Schneider denied threatening the US president. “This is my last comment on this: I neither said nor implied anything like that. Even though the headlines claimed otherwise, my post was in no way calling for an act of violence or a threat against a US president, as many other celebrities have done in the past. “I suggest you read my post again and pay attention to the words before you believe this nonsense,” he said.
