“Love Actually” star Heike Makatsch no longer looks recognizable 20 years after her role as lover Mia in the successful Christmas film.
The now 52-year-old actress ditched her signature dark bob in favor of a lighter, longer bob.
Heika played the brunette Mia, who famously had an affair with her married boss Henry, played by the late Alan Rickman, triggering the film's most devastating scene when his wife Karen (Emma Thompson) discovered their affairs.
Since the film's success, Heike has starred in a number of films and television series in her native Germany and has become a fixture at fashion shows in the country.
In Love Actually, the scantily clad Mia is determined to sleep with Henry and flirts outrageously with him at an office Christmas party, even though his wife Karen is present.

When Karen discovers the necklace in Harry's coat pocket, she is convinced he bought it for her, but when she opens his present on Christmas Day, she is stunned to see that he has given her a CD.
When Karen realizes that he bought the necklace for another woman, she bursts into tears while Mia smugly places the necklace around her neck.
Since appearing in the marquee film, Heike has appeared in several other English films, including 2013's The Book Thief alongside Geoffrey Rush and Emily Watson.
The star was with James Bond actor Daniel Craig for seven years until 2004 and has since starred in a number of German-language productions.
Heike also has two daughters with Max Martin Schröder, who is a member of the indie band Tomte.

Love Actually quickly became a hit upon its release in 2003 and featured an all-star cast that included Andrew Lincoln as Mark and Keira Knightley as Julia.
Another child star who appeared in the film was Thomas Brodie-Sangster, who played Liam Neeson's grieving stepson Sam, who has since starred in Game Of Thrones and The Queen's Gambit.

During an ABC special, “The Laughter and Secrets of Love Actually: 20 Years Later,” hosted by broadcaster Diane Sawyer last year, the actress said: “I was just sitting there watching and thinking, 'God, this is.' “Um, that's pretty out there, isn't it?”
“And then Hugh came up behind me as we were leaving the theater and said, 'Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this the most psychotic thing we've ever experienced?'
