Five years after the release of the first “Aquaman” film starring Jason Momoa, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” finally arrived in theaters across the country this week.

In addition to the return of Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as villain David Kane/Black Manta, the cast also includes Patrick Wilson as Orm Marius/Ocean Master and Amber Heard as Mera, whose appearance was partially cut, according to several reports.

After “Aquaman”, Heard was almost fired multiple sources told Variety. Warner and Wan decided to remove the actress from the sequel due to lack of chemistry between her and Momoa, and sent a letter to her lawyer Karl Austen informing him of their decision.
