Amy Winehouse's father is suing the singer's friends over the auction of personal items Papelpop

Singer Amy Winehouse's father, businessman Mitch Winehouse, filed a lawsuit against two of his daughter's friends. The allegation is that they profited around R$4.5 million (around £732,000) from selling the artist's personal belongings at auction.

Amy died in 2011 at the age of 27, leaving her father to manage her estate. There is no mention of which articles are included in the trial, to which the Chron tabloid was given access.

However, the amount of compensation varies. Naomi Parry, one of his friends, would have to compensate him R$3.2 million (£534,000), while Catriona Gourlay would have to pay R$1.2 million (£198,000).

Meanwhile, a UK release date has finally been set for biopic Back To Black, which revisits the star's meteoric trajectory. According to Studiocanal UK, one of their managers, the film will be released in theaters on April 12, 2024. There is currently no release date in Brazil.
