A 42-year-old man has been arrested for stealing Christmas presents for children at a kindergarten in Toulouse, southwest France.
The forty-year-old was arrested on the night of Wednesday to Thursday when he jumped over the bar's fence while he had a computer and Christmas presents in his “bag”.
The suspect, known to the judiciary, remained in police custody while the computer and gifts found on him were returned to the Ferdinand de Lesseps school, the newspaper La Dépêche reported.
The next day, to the children's great joy, the gift packages found their place under the tree, while the burglar had no hesitation in explaining his actions in court, it said.
