Moscow, December 23 (EFE). – The Russian Defense Ministry said in its daily report today that Russian forces shot down 36 Ukrainian drones and destroyed a Leopard 2 tank in the last day in the Donetsk region, where the Russian offensive continues.
“In one day, air defense systems intercepted six missiles from the HIMARS and Uragan multiple rocket launchers. In addition, 36 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed,” the military report said.
According to the source, four Ukrainian Armed Forces tanks were also destroyed on the Donetsk front, including a Leopard 2, as well as a Bradley fighting vehicle.
According to Moscow, enemy losses on this front amounted to 200 soldiers.
In total, the Russian army was able to repel 16 Ukrainian attacks in various sectors of the front on the last day.
This Friday, the department headed by Sergei Shoigu assured that the Russian army has improved its positions in the Donetsk region of Ukraine.EFE
