Nick Carter's family is dealing with another tragic loss of a loved one.
According to multiple reports, the Backstreet Boys member's sister Bobbie Jean “BJ” Carter has died at the age of 41, more than a year after the death of her brother Aaron Carter. The cause of death was not revealed.
Bobbie Jean Carter, who lived in Florida, was preceded in death by Aaron Carter, who died in November 2022 at the age of 34 after accidentally drowning in his bathtub while taking medications such as Alprazolam (Xanax), sister Leslie Carter, who died from a died of an overdose in 2012 at the age of 25 and father Bob Carter, who died in 2017 at the age of 64.
“I am deeply sad today,” wrote Melanie Martin, mother of Aaron’s son Prince Carter, 2, on her Instagram Stories. “REST IN PEACE.”

Bobbie Jean Carter starred in the E! series alongside Aaron, Nick, Leslie Carter and most of the other family members. On the reality show “House of Carters” in 2006, she maintained a private life and stayed out of the public eye until she was arrested last June in Florida on charges of shoplifting and possession of a controlled substance, police records show.
Citing a police report, People reported that she was accused of stealing $55 worth of stickers and markers from a Hobby Lobby and later allegedly had fentanyl on her person. In September, she was charged with failing to appear at a hearing in the case, according to police records.

In addition to her daughter, her mother and Nick, Bobbie Jean Carter is also survived by sisters Angel Carter Conrad – Aaron Carter's twin – and Virginia Marie Carter, brother Kaden Brent Carter and stepsister Taelyn Dobson.
Funeral plans for Bobbie Jean Carter have not been released.
