With the TUF VG27AQ, Asus simply offers one of the best 27-inch Quad HD displays for video gaming. It features the best available today in display technology, with a very responsive IPS panel that supports a very high frequency, compatible with both AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync. The icing on the cake is that these technologies can be combined with the ELMB. Ultimately, this screen is probably the best for gaming, no matter what type of games.

Strong points

  • Reactivity.
  • ELMB (black screen insertion) works with FreeSync and G-Sync.
  • Image well calibrated by default.
  • Good contrast for an IPS panel.
  • Decent ergonomics.
  • HDR compatibility.

Weak points

  • No USB hub.
  • No gamma adjustment (which is very good by default, however).

Even though the Iiyama GCB3280QSU-B1 doesn't do anything crazy in terms of design, it still delivers very good performance. It is very well calibrated out of the box and the colors become perfect by moving a few sliders. This monitor offers a good, slightly curved gaming surface, a high refresh rate of 165 Hz and a comfortable resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. We certainly notice some concessions in connectivity, but this model represents an option of choice for gamers who don't want to spend a lot of money.
