A story worthy of the movie “Mom, I Missed the Plane”: A 6-year-old child traveling alone was put on the wrong plane just days before Christmas.
On Dec. 21, little Casper was scheduled to fly to Philadelphia for the first time to join his grandmother Maria Ramos at Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers. However, when the plane arrived, the little boy was nowhere to be found.
“They told me, ‘No, he’s not on this flight. He missed his flight.' I said, “No, he can't have missed his flight because it's my check-in day.” I ran onto the plane to the flight attendant and asked her, “Where is my grandson?” Was he released to you in Philadelphia? “She said, 'No, I didn't have any children with me,'” Ramos said in an interview with Wink News.
The woman was scared to death and finally felt relieved when Casper called her to tell her he had landed. Luckily, the little boy was only four hours away at the Orlando airport. If the child did not make it safely, this does not apply to his suitcase making it to Fort Myers.
“Let me know how my grandson ended up in Orlando. How did it happen? Did they get him off the plane? “After Mom gave him the papers, did the flight attendant let him fly alone and he jumped on the wrong plane by himself?” said the grandmother, who was offered by Spirit Airlines to pay for the trip in order to pick up little Kasper .
The airline, for its part, made it clear that the child would be under the supervision of an adult at all times.
“The child was still being cared for and supervised by a member of the Spirit team, and as soon as we discovered the error, we took immediate steps to communicate with the family and reconnect them,” she said. said Spirit Airlines spokesman Michael Lopardi, adding that an internal investigation has been launched to find out what happened.
