Pro-Palestinians attack a Christmas fundraiser for blind children in Australia as a stage for their anti-Israel activities.

The event, Vision Australia's Carols by Candlelight, had 10,000 attendees and was broadcast live on Channel 9 as the crowd booed. The protesters raised Palestinian flags, stomped across the stage and shouted about Gaza before being dragged away by security forces.

“Well, it's the climate, isn't it?” said a female hostess.

“It's okay, everyone, actually we're fine here.

Israel has been at war since militants from the Palestinian terror group Hamas entered the country from the Gaza Strip on October 7, killing around 1,200 Israelis.

Some social media users on X reacted differently.

Darren Grimes, a conservative commentator at GB News, said: “No. This moment is not theirs.”

“This behavior will not liberate Palestine, it is simply shameful,” said pro-Israel activist Hen Mazzig.

“Carols by Candlelight is the largest annual fundraiser for Vision Australia’s children’s services. All proceeds from the event support services for families and children who are blind or visually impaired,” the program description states.

“Your donations will directly benefit Vision Australia’s children’s services and Life Ready program. “This program is designed to promote and support the child development and education of blind or visually impaired children and young people like Lucy, so that they can build a strong foundation for life, true meaningful participation and lifelong employment,” the Vision Australia website says.

Pro-Palestinian protesters have also caused unrest across the United States. A large group of pro-Palestinian protesters in Chicago confronted lawmakers in their homes and temporarily closed a highway on Saturday to show their support for Palestinians in Gaza.
