Whindersson mourned Jéssica Vitória

The comedian Whinderson Nunes published a video on Saturday evening the 24th in which he talks about the death of the young Jéssica Vitória Canedo at the age of 22. When he learned of the girl's death, he shared his grief and called for the creation of a law named in her honor.

He and Jéssica have been involved in fake news in recent weeks. A print containing alleged message exchanges between the two was shared on gossip sites, but both denied the veracity of the images. Last Friday the 22nd, Jéssica was attacked on social media and ended up taking her own life. After the incident, Human Rights and Citizenship Minister Silvio Almeida also called for regulation of social media.
In today's video, Whindersson even directly mentions Choquei a site that has been identified as the main purveyor of news and the target of a boycott by Internet users. Despite this, the comedian urged people not to accuse the site's owner or reveal any information about him as he could face retaliation down the road.
“Choquei released a note from a lawyer saying that lawyers have already been attacked. I wanted to say that this happened because people attack other people too. A lot of the blame lies with everyone, we don't want more victims,” he said.
“The administrator of Choquei, I saw a lot of people posting his photo on Twitter: 'Oh, this is the guy's photo.' That can sometimes lead to an attack in the middle of the street where someone physically does something about it. “Man, and we don't want any more victims here, we didn't want any victims, so we avoid things like that. Because this business has become so big,” he continued.
Whindersson also used the video to directly address Jéssica's mother Ines Oliveira.
“First I want to talk to Jéssica’s mother. I'm a very troubled guy, I've also been trying to give my life meaning for a long time, I'm trying to recover from psychological abuse and childhood sexual abuse.” . I'm opening up here in a way that I've only opened up to people I already had a relationship with. But in this vulnerable moment for you, I was also able to show the most vulnerable part of myself. I've been through a little bit of everything in my life, all kinds of bad things, but I would never encourage anyone to take their own life. To be honest, there are many moments where I wish I wasn't alive, but I would never encourage someone to take their own life,” said the influencer.
“I'm really sorry that you have to go through something that I went through with my son for just a few hours,” Whindersson added.
