A 19-year-old woman died this Monday in Madrid after a head-on collision between two passenger cars, one of which overturned on Avenida Andalucía in Madrid's Usera district, Emergencies Madrid reported. One of the two cars involved in the accident, which occurred at 4 a.m., was a VTC car, an emergency spokesman told EFE. In the car were the deceased 19-year-old girl and two other people aged 19 and 20, one of whom had a minor bruise and the other had an anxiety crisis. The girl who had an anxiety attack was transferred to the Doce de Octubre hospital and the slightly injured girl was transferred to the San Carlos Clinic.
The 24-year-old passenger was taken to Doce de Octubre by the VTC with a minor rib injury, while the driver remained uninjured. The fire department had to intervene to save the victims. The Madrid Metropolitan Police and the National Police have taken over the investigation of the accident.
