Little girl who fell into a river in Dolbeau-Mistassini: police begin their fourth day of investigation –

Police began their fourth search operation Monday in hopes of finding the four-year-old girl who fell into the Mistassibi River in Lac-Saint-Jean on Friday afternoon.

The search was called off late Sunday evening for security reasons. On Monday, the Sûreté du Québec confirmed that the operation had resumed in the morning and that around twenty police officers had been mobilized to find the little girl.

This new research day will not involve divers, it was made clear. Police will patrol the area and use a drone or even a helicopter.

The Sûreté du Québec also published a photo of the snowsuit the little girl was wearing when she disappeared.

Recall that at around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, the 4-year-old girl slipped with her mother near the Chute des Pères Motel in Dolbeau-Mistassini before going under the protective fence and falling into the water. His mother, who watched the scene helplessly, had to be taken to hospital to be treated for nervous shock.
