Kevin Spacey is back. At least at Christmas. The actor and film producer, who was overwhelmed by the #MeToo scandal in 2017 but was acquitted of four men's abuse allegations against him last summer, was in top form in a YouTube interview with American presenter Tucker Carlson. Spacey wore the shoes of Frank Underwood, the character who made him a star around the world thanks to his appearance in the series “House of Cards”. And in the interview he referred precisely to this cult series and proudly stated that, from his point of view, “Netflix exists thanks to me”. A clear nod to the first global success that House of Cards represented for the on-demand streaming platform. It's a shame that it failed him when his legal problems began. “I gave them some sense, and they threw me to the ground,” said Spacey, who was on the verge of a misunderstanding throughout the conversation: Was it either Underwood or the flesh-and-blood actor talking, who was he playing? Deliberately a slippery answer. But given the interviewee's cheerful tone, Carlson couldn't help but ask Spacey-Underwood when he would get back to work after a series of legal rematches last year. “This video is the beginning, this interview is a kind of mix of episode and reality,” the actor replied mischievously. As he left, he knew that he might soon reappear in a new guise.
