Although the country star admitted to People in 2017 that the proposal was “weird,” the singer explained that he “just couldn't wait.”

The artist continued by explaining that his original plans were to pop the big question the next day with “rose petals and everything like that.”

In October 2018, they said “I do” during a romantic ceremony held in Franklin, Tennessee with 200 guests in attendance.

Both Brown and Jae have also worked on music together, such as the 2022 track “Thank God.”

Earlier this year, the couple notably performed the song at the 2023 CMT Music Awards as well as the Stagecoach Music Festival.

“My fans have waited five years for us to sing together… There [were] actually four [other songs] “We had this,” Kane told PEOPLE shortly after the release of Thank God.

“I was like, 'Babe, you're going to be on this one or this one or this one.' And then thank God I came in and I thought, 'This is the one.'”
