Pedro Domingos do Prado, who inspired the band Jovem Dionísio to write the hit “Acorda, Pedrinho”, died this Monday (25) in Curitiba at the age of 65.
The band composed the song in reference to Pedrinho's habit of sleeping and playing pool after waking up in the bar. The song reached the top of the most listened songs and went viral on various social networks in Brazil and around the world.
According to the city council, Pedro was found dead in the hotel room where he was staying.
