A Pokémon Go trainer was ridiculed by the community after questioning the wisdom of braving the cold and trying to catch a rare monster.
As an ongoing service game, Pokémon Go receives constant updates and new content throughout the year. This means that wild Pokémon still roam, whether it's sunny or icy.
Since Pokémon Go requires players to go out and explore their surroundings, trainers need to pay attention to the weather while playing.

However, when a rare Pokemon is in the game, some fans will do almost anything to get it. This was the case when a trainer asked the community if it was worth pursuing a Charizard despite the freezing winter temperatures.
A Pokémon Go fan braves the cold to catch a rare monster
The Pokémon Go community had a funny encounter with a fan who posted on the game's subreddit and said, “It's 5 degrees outside. Is it worth it?” The trainer included a screenshot of a nearby Charizard.
Many trainers teased the worried Pokémon Go player that 5 degrees wasn't that cold and that the Drattak was worth the effort.

“Not usual but 5 degrees isn't that bad, come on!” said one fan, while another joked: “I'd go out in shorts and sandals, yeah it's worth it.”
Some have even noted the irony of the Dragon-type Drattak hiding in freezing temperatures due to its weakness to the Ice-type. “How can a Dragon-type Pokémon that is weak to Ice be in such a cold environment?!”
According to the author's comments, he actually braved the cold temperatures to catch the Drattak. And while they succeeded, the Dragon-type Pokémon apparently wasn't that impressive.

The trainer noted that Drattak was a 2-star Pokémon with “approximately 1350 CP.” While the Pokémon may not have been exceptional, it definitely had a fun story to tell.
