QNAP launches a new line of JBOD storage enclosures with PCIe interface that support SATA drives to achieve petabyte-level storage. The all-new TL-Rx00PES-RP series of PCIe JBODs utilize 12- to 24-bay SATA drives.
The new range of JBOD PCIe storage enclosures, the TL-Rx00PES-RP, features PCIe Gen 3 x8 with data transfer speeds of up to 64Gbps.
This series is ideal for companies looking to archive/backup virtualization applications, surveillance recordings, big data and multimedia content, especially on Linux.
Three configurations are offered by QNAP:
- 1. TL-R2400PES-RP (coming soon): 24 drive bays; 4U rack model
- 2. TL-R1600PES-RP: 16 drive bays; 3U rack model
- 3. TL-R1200PES-RP: 12 drive bays; 2U rack model
Users can expand existing NAS storage volumes at the petabyte level Connection of several areas of the TL-Rx00PES-RP, without having to rebuild the RAID on the host NAS. The TL-Rx00PES-RP series supports SATA drives, opening up a wide range of hard drives.
