Piero Quispe faces a new challenge in international football after arriving in Mexico to build his relationship with Puma's UNAM. After entering the land of the Aztecs, the national midfielder was approached by the media of that country and did not hesitate to express his enthusiasm for this football challenge.

“Now I’m thinking about what I’m going to do here. I have a positive attitude and a lot of confidence. The club has a great history, lots of fans and I will work to achieve positive results. “I’m very proud of myself and I’m doing everything for them (parents),” said the 2023 League 1 champion.

Although Quispe is aware that he will have to work hard to secure a place in the Auriazul team's starting XI, he is aiming to win the national championship to end the Pumas' title drought.

“I want to be champion, I hope to do my best. I will work hard to win over the fans. There are several from the national team who play here. They have good football. “I can fit in well here and earn a place in the starting eleven,” said the former Universitario player.

The 22-year-old midfielder will undergo medical tests before joining the Pumas, whose contract would run for three seasons. Piero will then take part in the pre-season to prepare for the Clausura 2024.

Quispe would have the opportunity to debut with the Mexican team on Sunday, January 14, 2024, the day in which the university students will play their first game of the competition against FC Juárez at the Estadio Olimpico Universitario.
