Declan Donnelly has reportedly sunk a whopping £2.25million into the property next to his west London home after it fell into disrepair.
The 48-year-old TV presenter has invested huge sums in his £7million home in Chiswick, adding a cinema, swimming pool, steam room and poolside kitchen.
The property next to I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Host Dec's house-turned-flats had become an “eyesore” and he and his wife Ali, 45, bought it to spruce it up.
Online documents show the couple have applied to build a single-storey side and rear extension.
A source told The Sun: “The street Dec lives on is very chic and lined with large family homes and his apartment is one of the most impressive villas there.”

“But other neighbors took less care of their property and the one bang next to Dec had become quite an eyesore.
“Most people would have to live with the disrepair, but Dec took the initiative and snapped it up when it came on the market.”
“The façade has already been secured and boarded up for reconstruction and the planning application has been received. And if it’s a piece of space for Dec’s house when it’s finished, it’s a great investment.”
It is unclear whether Dec will keep the property or resell it once the work is completed.
Dec and fellow TV presenter Ant McPartlin, 48, were left red-faced earlier this month after an old clip of them singing 'Eternal Love' resurfaced.
Before joining primetime television, the presenters found fame as PJ and Duncan after starring in Newcastle-based CBBC drama Byker Grove.
Following their successful appearance on the series, Ant and Dec, both 48, appeared together using the names of their characters from the series.
A video of them performing the track on This Morning in 1994 has since gone viral, with fans of the pair describing it as “difficult to watch”.
