Horrifying moment: Teen sprays himself with gasoline and sets himself on FIRE before backflipping into the river

A young boy who set himself on fire on a jetty in front of several other children appeared to survive after falling backwards into the water.

A man named Jebediah Lincler posted a video On Twitter, he shows the boy, apparently his cousin, dousing himself in gasoline and setting himself on fire just before throwing himself off the dock into the water below.

Several children, who are not seen on camera, cheered the boy on during the dangerous stunt while someone filmed him.

As the boy burst into flames, the children began screaming while he was still in the air.

The fire was thankfully extinguished by the water, and after the young daredevil emerged from under the water, a girl asked him, “Are you alive?”

Lincler reassured viewers after the video went viral, saying his cousin was “healthy and healthy” and, amazingly, had not suffered “bad burns.”

According to the Los Angeles Times, skin burns caused by self-lighting are “excruciatingly painful.”

If the skin is severely burned, body water can leak out, which can lead to death from shock.

Depending on the severity of the burn, men or women between the ages of 20 and 50 have a better chance of healing.

The boy who set himself on fire limited his exposure to the flames to his upper body.

Since he was only wearing swimming trunks, if he continued to douse himself, his hind fin would have been covered in even hotter fire and even worse burns.

It is unclear whether the children expected the boy to set himself on fire, and one girl asked the boy if he was still alive after he came out of the water

One Instagram user said the video was “the stupidest piece of crap he's seen in ages.”

“Should have said something cool like flame on or something,” another Instagram user wrote.

“This is the stupidest mess… how can people allow them to be taken advantage of like this,” another commenter wrote.
