The Samsung Phone (or “Samsung Phone”) application, available on the Microsoft Store, is inspired by the continuity between iOS and macOS in phone calls to improve the experience for users of Samsung smartphones and the brand's PCs running Windows.

Samsung this week released its Samsung Phone application on the Microsoft Store – Samsung Phone in French. The application provides continuity in phone calls between Windows 10 or Windows 11 and a Samsung smartphone. The concept also works with Samsung tablets and is closely based on what the iOS/MacOS pair already allows when the phone rings or a call is in progress.
Important detail: However, the Samsung Phone application is only available on laptops that the Korean brand has launched in recent months. This explains why you can't find anything when you search the Microsoft Store from a Surface Laptop, for example.
No more missed calls when working on a Samsung laptop
“Never miss an important call again. “Use your Galaxy phone’s phone number and cellular plan to make and receive calls on your PC,” Samsung describes in its application form. We would like to point out that for the application to function on the smartphone and on the PC, you must use the same phone number. By all logic this should be easy. In fact, connecting to the same Samsung account on both sides should be enough to continue calling and texting.

In detail, the Samsung Phone application displays a pop-up window on the paired PC when an incoming call is detected on the smartphone. Commands are available to accept or decline, as well as a button to send a text message to the person trying to reach you. Overall, and as SamMobile points out, the interface is very similar to OneUI to ensure better visual consistency from one environment to another.
Note that for several years now, users of non-Samsung devices have been able to benefit from a similar experience through the Connected Mobile – Link with Windows application.
The latter allows you to view call logs and SMS messages from any Android smartphone on a Windows computer. And if the respective smartphone is connected to it via Bluetooth, it is even possible to receive calls from the PC.
