Thousands of stadiums in South America and around the world have varying historical value. Unfortunately, not all cases last long for various reasons. This is the case Estadio Miguel Grau de Piuraa complex that hosted some of the 2004 Copa América matches but now looks completely run down.
What status does Miguel Grau de Piura have?
“It makes me very sad to see the Miguel Grau Stadium in Piura like this,” commented a young man who came to the venue to report on the unfortunate state of the place. According to him, the last game took place five years ago and there is currently no intention to renovate one of the country's most important stadiums.
