Law passed on the tasks of the Ministry of the Interior in Nicaragua

During an extraordinary session this Thursday, it was revealed that the law consists of twelve articles and its main objective is to continue to ensure the constitutional and institutional order and the security of the country's citizens.

Representative Patricia Sánchez explained that with the passage of the law we return to the roots of the revolution to defend and guarantee the internal order of this Central American nation.

Parliament President Gustavo Porras congratulated the deputies of the different political groups for the coherent and coherent work that “strengthens the revolutionary institutions despite political and ideological differences.”

The Ministry of the Interior of Nicaragua was founded 44 years ago, but during the neoliberal government it changed its name and called it the Ministry of the Interior, the purpose of which was to transform the entity into a bureaucratic instrument.

According to Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega, the leaders of this institution were enemies of the people and the Sandinista revolution, and the goal of the right here was to dismantle the Interior Ministry.

“The government has subjugated the Interior Ministry, it has also tasked the defense ministers with looking for ways to collapse and weaken the army, and I would say that they have done the most damage to us in the Interior Ministry,” Ortega stressed during an event this Wednesday to mark the anniversary of this body of state.

According to the information disclosed, the Interior Ministry will now consist of the National Police, the Fire Department, prison staff and the Migration and Aliens Authority.

“All in all, we are now in a better position to carry out tasks that do not allow the enemy to advance his plans, because he is always a conspirator and always sticks to his plans,” the Sandinista leader said.
