Musical Retrospective: The Best Albums of the Year According to the Editors of Glamor Glamor Brasil

The music app retrospective is almost as hotly anticipated as the endofyear celebrations, and showcases what dominated our headphones in early December. Between surprises and truisms, even those from the inconspicuous team cannot resist and join the wave of sharing the master artist of the pieces, the most listened to genres, the total minutes listened and more.

Sharing season is over; But we also had our favorite albums here! And so that you know what was popular on our playlists, we'll tell you which albums were released in 2023 and attracted the editors' greatest attention. Check out the instructions below and get ready to play!

GOOD Olivia Rodrigo

“On her second album, Olivia Rodrigo returns to her bubblegum poprock, with wellcrafted songs that explore her vocal range and her skills as a composer. GUTS brings personal songs, yes, but without losing the essence of the identification of pain and love of the early 20s.”

“The world and I have fallen in love with the songs of this wonderful fictional band! Honeycomb was my most listened to song of 2023!”

“Keeping its essence in R&B, but without closing itself off by contributing to other genres such as Afrobeat, Samba, Reggae Sound System and Funk. For me, this fusion of AfroBrazilian rhythms and the most intimate compositions, both from From.” The point of view of emotional relationships and mentions of family and origins made the difference in the album, on which “Terê” and “Sintoniza” are my favorite tracks <3 ".

Endless summer vacation Miley Cyrus

“I've been a fan of Miley for a long time (hello, hello, Hannah Montana), but musically, the release of Plastic Hearts adds her to the list of artists I can't stop listening to. Because of my attachment to the previous album and with all the success of Flowers, my expectations for Endless Summer Vacation reached heights and were fully met. I lost count of how many times I listened to Jaded, my favorite on the album. And best of all, to live up to the title, it was released just as my vacation began.”

The record Boygenius

“You know that feeling when an album describes the exact moment you're living in? That's why “The Record,” the 2023 release from indie supergroup boygenius, hasn't left my ears in 2023. The artist union of Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker couldn't have worked better: the compositional style of each is very striking for fans of the singers' solo careers, but it is the harmony between the three that distinguishes the best tracks. An example of this is “Not Strong Enough,” the most played song of my year, which is competing for song of the year in 2023 at the next Grammys.

This is also the highlight of “True Blue”, perhaps my favorite song, with its super poetic and romantic lyrics that will melt even the biggest skeptics. I strongly recommend!”
