Moscow, December 29 (EFE). – The Russian Ministry of Defense reported this Friday that it carried out fifty missile and drone attacks in Ukraine in the last week, one of them massive.
“Between December 23 and 29, Russian armed forces launched 50 group attacks and a massive attack with precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles against facilities of the military-industrial complex, military airfield infrastructure, arsenals, as well as artillery ammunition storage locations” in Ukraine, according to the daily War report.
The note goes on to say that “sites of units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, nationalist formations and foreign mercenaries” were also attacked.
“All set goals will be achieved,” the statement continued.
In addition, the defense reported on the improvement of the Russian army's positions on the Eastern Front of Kupiansk, where its forces repelled 27 enemy attacks during the week.
This Friday saw a massive wave of Russian attacks in Ukraine, with Moscow forces firing around 110 rockets into the neighboring country's territory, causing at least 12 deaths.
According to the Ukrainian authorities, the cities attacked include the capital Kiev, Lviv (west), Odessa (south), Dnipro (centre), Zaporizhia (south) and Kharkiv (northeast). EFE
