Four people were injured in a vehicle attack near an Israeli military post in the occupied West Bank on Friday, December 29, according to the Israeli army and Israeli emergency services.
“Recently, a vehicle ramming attack was carried out near a military post near Adorayim Junction. Israeli army soldiers operating in the area neutralized the terrorist.” writes the army in a press release. The Palestinian Authority Health Ministry later announced the death and identity of suspected attacker Amro Abu Hussein, who was shot.
Adorayim Junction is located in the southern West Bank, between the Palestinian city of Hebron and the Israeli settlement of Oteniel.
Israeli emergency services announced Three people with minor injuries and a fourth who suffered “moderate” injuries were treated at the scene.
There has been a sharp increase in violence in the occupied West Bank since the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip began on October 7. Since then, at least 315 Palestinians have been killed there by soldiers and, in some cases, by Israeli settlers, according to a tally by the Palestinian Authority Health Ministry.
