Kathy Griffin has filed for divorce from her husband Randy Bick just days before celebrating their fourth wedding anniversary.
TMZ reported that Kathy filed divorce papers in Los Angeles County on Thursday.
She cited irreconcilable differences and stated in the filing that she had a prenuptial agreement with Randy. She has asked the court to enforce the prenuptial agreement.
As news of their split circulated online, Griffin responded on X, formerly Twitter, writing, “Well…shit. That sucks.”
The reported date of separation is December 22, less than two weeks before the couple would have celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary.

When news of their breakup circulated online, Griffin responded
Griffin and Bick had a long journey to the altar, dating for seven years from 2011 until they briefly called the curtain down on their romance in 2018.
“God help me but I'm going to be one of those announcing a breakup,” she tweeted at the time. “It’s not bitter and I will always adore him.”
During their first seven years as a couple, Griffin saw her career implode in early 2017 when a viral image of her holding a severed head doll of Donald Trump, then the newly inaugurated President of the United States.
According to Griffin, the scandal also brought some turmoil into Bick's personal life, as his family were supporters of the president.
“My friend who I live with and who's also my tour manager, you know, his family is having issues with him now…they're Trumpers,” Griffin said.
She told Entertainment Tonight years later that she and Bick took “a little break” for four months around the time of the controversy.
“And now we've come to the conclusion that we really have been through so much together.” “We've been together for over eight years now,” she recalled in 2019.
“Even though he's 19 years younger, we both turned to each other and realized that this is the longest relationship for both of us, you know? We should fight for it and make it work. And you know, it was just one of those things where there was a lot of pressure.”

After their brief separation in 2018, they got back together in 2019 and were married by comedy icon Lily Tomlin on New Year's Day 2020.
Two months later, Bick accompanied Griffin through another period of personal turmoil when her beloved mother, Maggie, died at the age of 99.
Over the years, Griffin and Bick's relationship has occasionally drawn ridicule due to the fact that he is nearly two decades younger than her.
In 2016, she herself remarked to People magazine, “Well, you know, I didn't think it would last.” [because] he's 18 years younger than me!'
Although she initially called the marketing manager a “man whore,” she assumed their one-night stand would not progress any further.

But eventually she realized that he was “a real guy” and not a “Hollywood guy,” and a real connection developed between them.
The end of her marriage to Bick is Griffin's second divorce – she was married to a certain Matthew Moline from 2001 to 2005.
After her first marriage failed, she went on Larry King Live and spectacularly accused Moline of stealing $72,000 from her by swiping her ATM cards while she slept.
Although Griffin and Moline attempted to reconcile after their first breakup, Griffin insisted they “couldn't get around the trust issue.”
Moline issued her own statement, which King read on television, saying, “Since our divorce, I have not made any public comments about my ex-wife or our marriage.” It saddens me that she would do so at this time decides to make such accusations. “I have no intention of engaging in a public debate about private matters.”
