Alianza Lima continues to strengthen for the 2024 season. After integrating the new coach and some players, the blue and white team has added Giacomo Scerpella to the psychology department, who worked in the technical command of Ricardo Gareca in the Peruvian team.

According to journalist Kevin Pacheco, the Blue and Whites have signed Giacomo Scerpella as head of psychology for 2024. In this sense, he will be responsible for leading the psychological area of the club and, in addition, his work will not only be in the first team of the Alliance.

Scerpella had a brief minor team experience in 2017 when he was responsible for organizing some interviews for the minor team and reserves.

Likewise, Giacomo Scerpella has extensive experience in the field of psychology, having been part of Gareca's technical command heading to Qatar 2022. After the departure of Marcelo Márquez, important in the first stage of the “Tigre” in the bicolor, scerpella assumed the same role with each player.

In an interview with “Metafutbolperu”, the expert gave details of his work during his stay in Blanquirroja. In this context, he spoke about the motivation of footballers.
“Motivation depends on where you go and with what intensity. They call you into the national team and you are the first to come to training. You have to have a career plan. These goals have to challenge you, excite you, they have to be measurable and have a date,” he commented.
