Coronation Street star Lisa George hinted at her departure from the soap in September – and revealed her dreams of starring in some hit BBC shows.
On Friday this week, it was revealed that the 50-year-old actress had reportedly decided to leave the cobbles to pursue “new challenges” after first debuting as Beth Tinker in 2011.
But it seems Lisa had an inkling she might not be staying on the ITV soap as she waited for her bosses to sign her back three months ago.
“I’m just waiting to find out if I get another contract,” she told the Daily Star at the time.
Meanwhile, Lisa named the popular BBC dramas she would like to star in and shared that she is a fan of series set in the past.

She said: “I'm really interested in war themes because my grandfather talked about the war all the time.” That's why I'd like to do a drama set in the 1940s. Or something set in the 60s would be great.
“I’d love to do Call The Midwife.” And I saw “Ten Pound Poms” and loved it. “A role in something like that would be great.”
It was announced on Friday that Lisa had left Corrie, with the film star having been part of the cast for 13 years.
According to The Sun, Lisa's exit story will air over the summer and will be “as dramatic as it is.”

“She's become a fan favorite with her comedic scenes, but heartbreaking scenes like Sinead's death left viewers in tears.”
“She loves Corrie and it’s in her bones, but she feels now is the right time to move on and take on new challenges.”

During his time on The Cobbles, Alex has been involved in numerous controversial storylines and won the British Soap Award for Best Young Actor in 2011, as well as another award at the Inside Soap Awards in 2014.

On Boxing Day, Chris Gascoyne said goodbye to Corrie after 23 years as Peter Barlow.
In scenes from Boxing Day, Peter and his wife Carla began rowing while Peter accused his wife of trying to get rid of him.
After a tense and emotional conversation, Carla convinces Peter to accompany his friend Mickey on his yacht, arguing that they would be better off apart, and ends their toxic relationship.
Then came the time for Peter's emotional farewell to his family, but disaster struck when his son Simon (Alex Bain) was nowhere to be found and Peter was forced to run away and take the tram without having the chance to say goodbye .
