Ant and Dec admit Limitless Win puts them under “a lot of pressure” as they are asked to help contestants… after revealing they almost “bankrupted” ITV with the biggest prize ever

Ant and Dec have confessed their hearts sink when they are asked to take part in gameplay on their show Limitless Win, claiming it puts them under a lot of pressure.

The two 48-year-old television presenters will return next Saturday with a new episode of their game show.

In “Limitless Win,” pairs of contestants answer questions in exchange for lives before climbing a never-ending money ladder for a chance to win the biggest jackpot on television.

But Ant McPartlin and his co-host Declan Donnelly can be called upon to help the competitors in the Take Two with Ant and Dec lifeline, where two guesses are allowed, one each by the team and the hosts, with the guess closer the correct answer counts.

When asked how they fared with their answers while filming the new series, Dec said: “My heart still sinks every time the Take Two lifeline appears.”

Ant continued: “We only have 30 seconds and it takes us 20 seconds to get around the desk as we only have small legs!”

Dec chimed in: “When you're playing for these contestants there's a lot of pressure to get them further up the ranks and potentially win big money.”

“But I’m proud to say we did it without giving too much away,” Ant added. “We got a good spot and helped some participants win a significant amount of money.”

Dec concluded: “Luckily we have some really serendipitous insights up our sleeves.”

The pair claimed they almost bankrupted ITV after lucky contestants on their game show Limitless Win won £1 million, the biggest prize in the show's history.

The presenters joked that “many of the accountants in the studio looked even grayer than usual” as a couple taking part in the new series climbed the Limitless leaderboard to earn the seven-figure sum.

And I'm A Celeb presenters Ant and Dec say contestants will give it their all in the third series of the show and win big – to the delight of the duo, who couldn't contain their excitement during filming.

Dec revealed the most shocking point of the series was witnessing Ant jump on the desk and almost break it, a moment which put the presenter at odds with his superiors.

Asked if they were any closer to ITV's bankruptcy, Ant replied: “In a word… yes.”

“We've had more people climbing the ladder than ever before, and this series is seeing the most success in the show's history. 'Can I say that?'

Dec added: “I think you just did that.” “A lot of the accountants in the studio looked even grayer than usual.”

Since Ant and Dec's game show launched in 2022, contestants on Limitless Win have raised big money, with season one's Katherine and Will earning a life-changing £500,000 on their episode.

But in the upcoming series a couple will double the current record and end their appearance with a £1million win.

The excitement among contestants and the live studio audience was shared by the hosts, with Ant admitting he got into trouble for jumping on the tables during one of the games.

Dec said: “Oh absolutely, we get so carried away. “We're just very invested in every couple that plays the game. “You can’t help but get emotional for them every game.”

Ant added: “In fact, I actually jumped on the desk in this series,” before Dec chimed in: “You've been blamed for that, haven't you… Everything will be revealed. 'But you almost broke the desk.'
