Tom Brady joked that he would be coming out of retirement in May as the NFL legend posted a series of family photos on New Year's Eve.
The legendary NFL quarterback and seven-time Super Bowl champion made the most of his first year away from football.
He has often been on vacation and spent time with his loved ones, most recently he went skiing with his three children Jack (16), Benjamin (14) and Vivian (11).
In the post, Brady said he was “grateful” for the last 12 months and “blessed to have a family and friends full of love, joy and compassion around me.”
But he ended the caption by joking that he was lacing up his boots for the season before friends threw him a party to celebrate his retirement.

Brady joked that he was considering coming out of retirement one more time before friends threw a party
In his Instagram post, Brady wrote, “Looking back on 2023, I'm grateful for every moment.”
“I appreciate the highs, learn from the lows and look forward to what comes next.” I am blessed to have family and friends surrounding me with love, joy and compassion.
“As you get older you realize that’s really the only thing that matters and I will never take these people for granted.”
“Hug your children, call your parents, tell your friends you love them, and let us all help make 2024 a brighter and happier year for everyone in our lives.”
“(PS: The only downside to 2023 was when I was about to retire in May and my friends threw a surprise retirement party. That kind of forced me into action.”

The former Patriots quarterback retired after the 2021 season, but announced his return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers less than two months later.
Brady ultimately ended his playing career in February and took time off from football for the past nine months.
Next season, Brady begins a 10-year contract with FOX as an analyst for the NFL, worth a staggering $375 million.
