A pedestrian who was seriously injured in a collision with a vehicle in Mont-Blanc in the Laurentians is now out of danger, according to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The woman who was trying to help a driver who had lost control of her car was hit by another vehicle in Mont-Blanc on Saturday evening.
The collision occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Route 117 in Mont-Blanc, a community east of Mont-Tremblant.
There was a vehicle that lost control and a passerby, the pedestrian, came to the aid of the driver involved, explained Sergeant Béatrice Dorsainville, spokeswoman for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
She was struck by another vehicle traveling on Route 117, she added.
The woman was taken to a hospital where medical authorities feared for her life late Saturday evening.
The other people involved in the accident, including the driver who initially lost control of her vehicle, were uninjured but had to be treated for nervous shock.
During the investigation, Route 117 was closed from the entrance to the exit of Mont-Blanc.
A headquarters patrol officer specializing in collision investigations went to the scene to analyze the scene.
