Richard Romanus, actor from 'The Sopranos' and 'Dangerous Paths', dies aged 80

On The Sopranos, Romanus played Richard LaPenna, Jennifer Melfi's husband, for a few episodes between 1999 and 2002. However, his most famous role was in the cinema directed by Martin Scorsese.

Romanus played Michael, a powerful loan shark from Little Italy, an Italian neighborhood in New York, in 1973's “Dangerous Ways.” In one of the film's most famous scenes, he gets into an argument with Robert De Niro's character Johnny Boy. .

In the 1970s, the American also took on important dubbing work in the animated films “Wizards” and “Heavy Metal Universo em Fantasia”. He has not been seen on screen since 2003, when he filmed the inconspicuous “O Jovem Corcel Negro”.
