REVEALED A Colorado mother suspected of killing two of her

On the run: Colorado mother arrested in UK, two weeks after she 'killed her daughter, 9, and son, 7, following a year-long custody battle with her ex-husband'

Kimberlee Singler, the Colorado mother who allegedly killed two of her children and was on the run, has been taken into custody thousands of miles away in the United Kingdom, police said.

Singler, 35, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, is wanted on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and child abuse. Earlier Sunday, Singler's ex-husband Kevin Wentz identified the two dead children, nine-year-old Elianna and seven-year-old Aden.

Nearly two weeks after the original murders and a week after she was last seen or heard from, Singler was taken into police custody in the United Kingdom on Saturday “without incident,” although the exact location was not specified or photographs were provided.

Colorado Springs police say they will provide more details at a press conference, but it has not yet been scheduled.

A spokesperson for the Colorado Springs Police Department told that no further information about her arrest would be released at this time.

Singler was also embroiled in a protracted custody battle with her ex-husband and was just days away from losing the children.

When police responded to a 911 call about a break-in at an apartment complex in the 5300 block of Palomino Ranch Point on the city's northeast side around 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 19, they found Singler and her still-living daughter, 11, lying next to the bodies of her others daughter, nine, and her son, seven.

On Sunday, Wentz posted photos of his two children and their names: daughter Elianna “Elie” Wentz, 9, and Aden, 7.

Wentz released a press release on Sunday in which he both revealed the names of his two deceased children and told his side of the events that led to their deaths.

He claims the incident is related to his divorce from Singler, which took place in September 2018.

Wentz claims Singler accused him of both domestic violence and child abuse, which a Larimer County court found unfounded and did not view Wentz as a threat to the children.

However, the tense battle continued well into 2023, when Singler obtained a temporary protective order against Wentz in El Paso County after she claimed he pointed a knife at her.

Wentz denies the allegation, but the order remained in effect until Jan. 24 and an appeal hearing is scheduled.

Singler filed another emergency motion in district court on Nov. 17 to try to restrict Wentz's parenting time based on the same allegations, but the court vacated the order after determining there was no imminent danger.

The Larimer District Court even ordered Singler to pay Wentz's legal fees and give him catch-up time to make up for the damages he lost as a result of the order.

Wentz claims Singler did not follow those instructions and did not bring the children to Wentz on their scheduled exchange date on December 16th.

Both he and his legal representatives attempted to contact his ex-wife but received no response.

Wentz was granted an emergency request for law enforcement assistance in enforcing parenting time on Dec. 18 and scheduled a status conference for two days later in which Singler was ordered to appear with the children.

But on December 19, two of the three children were dead.

He argues that he cooperated fully with the police investigation into the murders.

A Gofundme has been set up to raise funds for the surviving family.

Singler and her 11-year-old daughter, both injured, were treated at the scene by emergency responders before being transported to local hospitals for further treatment.

However, police said that upon investigation they discovered that the 911 call was fake.

The Singler family said in its own statement Saturday: “Following the statement from the Wentz family's attorney, we have decided to release a similar statement.”

“We are cooperating fully with police in their efforts to locate Kimberlee and are asking for the public's help in finding her.” We deeply mourn this terrible tragedy and ask for privacy and prayers as we weather this storm.

“Our focus is on God and His glory and our surviving niece.” We hope everyone remembers the innocence involved and that our only goal is to protect her. Please pray for healing and peace for all involved as we search for answers and allow us our privacy. Thank you very much.'

Singler is currently wanted on four counts of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, three counts of child abuse and one count of assault.

A Colorado court has set bail at $10 million.

Authorities had told The New York Times that they had “reason to believe” that Singler, who was last seen on Christmas Eve, was no longer in the state.

They have cordoned off the apartment where she lived and are still investigating her disappearance, although the FBI has joined the manhunt.

It is still not known whether she went on the run alone or with someone else, nor is it known whether there was another parent who helped raise Singler's children.
