Jeremy Renner is gratefully celebrating the one-year anniversary of his life-changing snowplow accident on New Year's Day.

The 52-year-old “Avengers” star has made a remarkable recovery in the 12 months since he was crushed by his 14,000-pound snow plow while trying to free his nephew's car from deep snow in Nevada. Renner broke more than 30 bones and suffered a collapsed lung and a punctured liver in the near-fatal accident.

Renner was a guest on CNN's “New Year's Eve Live” with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen on Sunday, where he discussed his remarkable year and journey.

“I’m with my family, who were actually all with me last year,” said Renner via video link. “We have a lot to celebrate this year and some kind of redemption for what happened last year. I feel pretty blessed.”

Renner said he was “so blessed to have so many things to live for” during the ordeal.

“I have a huge family and a 10-year-old daughter,” he said. “I would have disappointed and really ruined a lot of people's lives if I had died. So there's a lot I can improve on. I’m also pretty stubborn and there’s a lot I have to fight for.”

Renner is releasing a new music single on New Year's Day and earlier this month released a cover of himself sitting on a pier with his 10-year-old daughter, Ava Berlin Renner. Renner described the release as a “new musical diary – a story about life, death, recovery, everything you learned along the way.”

Renner discussed the project on Sunday, saying that making music “has always been cathartic and healing for me.”

“But this is more of a narrative about everyone’s life and death and recovery over the last year. So it’s like a diary entry,” Renner said. “It was a miraculous healing.”

Is Jeremy Renner returning to “Mayor of Kingstown”?

Renner announced his return to his starring role as Mike McLusky on the Paramount+ series “Mayor of Kingstown” for Season 3 by sharing an Instagram Story from co-star Emma Laird on December 29th.

“It’s happening,” the British actress wrote. “Back next week with my favorite guy.”

Renner confirmed the return of “Kingstown” when interviewed by Cohen on Sunday.

“I think I’m ready, I think I’m strong enough,” Renner said. “We will see. I mean, they want me to come back in a week. But I’m going to do my best and do my best.”

Jeremy Renner updates fans on his recovery and therapy

In November, Renner updated fans on the work behind his physical recovery.

“Since January 14th I have explored EVERY type of therapy,” Renner shared in an Instagram post. along with a selfie of himself in a mask while undergoing red light therapy.

Every day, Renner underwent “countless hours of physical therapy, peptide injections, IVs and infusions, stem cell and exosomes, red light/IR therapy, hyperbaric chamber 2.0 atmospheres, cold dives and the list goes on,” he wrote.

But “my biggest therapy was my mind and the will to be here and do everything I could to recover and get better. …to be extraordinary. … I feel it is my duty to do this,” he added. “I don't want to waste my life because I'm spared, but to give back to my family, friends and all of you who gave me the strength to persevere. I thank you all.”

Renner captioned his Instagram posts with the hashtag #loveandtitanium.
