A third in a row for the Bruins

The Boston Bruins finished 2023 strong with a third straight victory on Sunday night, thanks to a 5-3 victory over the Detroit Red Wings.

Trent Frederic scored the first two goals for his team before Jake Walman and Ben Chiarot responded.

Charlie Coyle scored in the third period to give the visitors the lead again. Jake DeBrusk thought he would seal the Red Wings' fate in an empty cage, but the Michigan State team reduced the deficit again thanks to JT Compher.

Pavel Zacha made sure that the “Wings” fans didn’t start 2024 with a smile, who also hit the goal with a long-range shot into the empty net.

Goalkeeper Jeremy Swayman made 27 saves in the win. His teammate Charlie McAvoy stood out with three assists.

Detroit, for its part, lost for the third time in ten games.
