Aline (Barbara Reis) becomes a trending topic after a TV report by Ubaldo (Caio Macedo) in Terra e Paixão. The journalist is visited by Rodrigo (Maicon Rodrigues) to publicize the persecution his client is suffering at the hands of the city's allpowerful. In the interview she will talk about her husband's death, the attacks and the kidnapping. “He never pays for the crimes he commits,” the pregnant woman will say.
After the journalist arrives in Nova Primavera, the public will see him recording the interviews and trying to hear Antônio (Tony Ramos). Aline's story is then shown on television in Globo's nine o'clock soap opera. Several characters will follow and influence from home.
“For many years I have suffered from the cruel persecution of Antônio La Selva, the largest rural producer in Nova Primavera. All because of a piece of land that his father gave to my husband. Antônio never accepted that. “I wanted to buy the land back,” but since we didn’t want to sell it, he had my husband killed and set my house on fire!” the widow will begin to say.
“But I didn’t duck. I have fought and stood firm on my land, planting and harvesting. I was constantly followed by this man. And when he found out that I was pregnant, he ordered his henchmen to kidnap me.” “He wanted to take my children away from me as soon as they were born,” he will say, before bursting into tears.
The reporter will say that it sounds like a movie story, but it is a real case. Jonatas will appear and talk about the shot he took in her place that left him in a wheelchair. Then reporters stand at the gate of Antônio's farm and want him to tell his version.
Ubaldo will say goodbye to Aline on the same day the scenes will be broadcast on Saturday (6). He will note that television viewership has increased and that his work has been praised by the channel's editors. The journalist will return to the Federal District, but warn that the impact will only increase.
Terra e Paixão was written by Walcyr Carrasco and Thelma Guedes. The story takes place in the fictional town of Nova Primavera in Mato Grosso do Sul. The story will remain on air until the 19th and will be replaced by the remake of Renascer (1993).
