The angry mother of a teenage drunkenness suspect confronts the police officer and both are ultimately arrested

This is the shocking moment a mother confronted a police officer and told another officer to “keep my purse” while her son was arrested for drunk driving.

The incident occurred on August 27 and apparently occurred in Clovis, New Mexico.

The unknown male suspect, 19 years old, was initially stopped by two police officers because they suspected he was driving drunk.

Authorities conducted a field sobriety test as he continued to verbally abuse her and repeatedly picked up his phone to record and call his mother.

As the test continued, the 19-year-old's mother, who appeared to be drunk herself, arrived at the scene and became angry when she was told her child would be arrested.

The video begins with an officer arriving at the scene to assist a sergeant near a restaurant called Bill's Jumbo Burgers.

As the assistant officer exits his vehicle, he sees the other officer conducting a field sobriety test on the driver.

“He’s trying to say I can’t have my damn phone,” the teen tells the second officer.

“Well, why don’t you just put your phone up for a second and do what the officer tells you,” the officer says.

“Yes sir, of course I have you,” says the driver, wearing a black shirt and khakis, as he puts his cell phone in his pocket.

The first officer then explains to the driver that he will begin the sobriety test while using his flashlight to show the teen where to go.

Then the young driver points his hands in front of him and says: “That light, right?”

“It’s nothing, it’s right behind your left foot,” the officer replies.

The teenager then interrupts the officer and says, “Where's the line?” “I don't know where I'm going unless I know where I'm going.”

The second officer then said, “It’s an imaginary straight line, okay?”

“Give me some closeness,” says the drive.

An officer then walks to the spot where he is confronting the teen to show him where to go.

“Stand where you want me to go and I’ll go there,” the driver says.

“I can run, I can run, I can run.”

He then moves on and the officer in front of him tells him he's not doing what they asked.

The driver then says, 'What should I do?' Do you want me to walk or do you want me to do something?'

“I want you to follow my instructions,” the officer says.

The officer then asks the suspect to place his right heel in front of his left foot as the driver begins to stumble slightly.

'Look at me! Will I remain like that officer?

The driver continues to lose his balance and begins to lose his words before saying, “I'm not a cop. 'I only have to take nine steps and that's a fact, right?'

“Listen to his instructions,” the other officer says as the driver looks at him.

The other officer in front of the teen then says, “Shut up.”

The driver replies, “Shut up? Did you say that?' He then takes his cell phone out of his pocket and begins to record the encounter.

“Because I don’t have to deal with this bullshit,” he says.

“Okay, that’s even more evidence to be used against you,” the police officer says.

The officer proceeds to tell the driver that he must keep his hands at his side for the remainder of the test, so the teen puts his cell phone in his waistband and continues recording.

Then the 19-year-old puts his hands in front of him, looks at the other police officer and says, “I don't have any hands, do I?” Look at my hands.'

He then clasps his hands behind his back and says to the officers, 'Put me down, put me down already.' If you're going to fucking hit me, get me down already.'

'Who said that? “That won’t happen,” said one of the officers.

The teen driver then says he will not continue the test as his mother arrives at the scene.

“Okay, then you’re under arrest,” the officer says as he grabs the teenager from behind, his hands still behind his back.

Then the mother joins the argument and says, “Hey, hey, hey, what’s going on?”

The assisting officer then pulls her aside to talk to her about what happened.

Before the teen decided not to take his sobriety test, he had difficulty walking and kept slurring his words to officers. He was charged with aggravated drunk driving, resisting, evading or obstructing an officer and improper equipment

“First of all, your son was drinking – he’s drunk,” the officer says.

“I didn’t drink, they don’t have any fucking experience with me drinking, bro,” the handcuffed teen says.

The police officer goes on to tell the mother that her son refused to take the test and believes they are going to beat him up.

He then tells her that her child is being arrested for drunk driving, while the mother looks distressed and says, “No, please don't do that, man, please.”

As she continues to plead, the officer caring for her son takes him to the patrol car and her son throws his feet to the side of the vehicle.

She storms toward the officer and screams, “Hey, hey, no, don’t hit me, boy!”

The mother grabs the officer's back as the three fall to the ground during the confrontation.

The other officer quickly pulls her away from the other officer and says, “Tell her not to touch that officer!”

The woman then lies on the floor, crying and screaming hysterically at the officer who pulled her away.

The mother says, “You fucking hit me, what the fuck is wrong with you?”

When the officer explains to her that she put her hands on the other officer, she becomes even more emotional and begins stumbling with her words and cursing.

“You touched him. “They jumped on his back,” the officer said.

“I didn't hit him. No, I didn’t,” she replies.

“Don’t touch my child.” Don’t touch my damn child. “You have some problems,” she says.

The mother frantically begins searching for items she says fell out of her purse during the physical altercation, while the police officer she jumped on tries to help her search for her belongings.

She turns to the other officer and says, 'Who hits a girl?' What's your problem?'

“Your problem is that you’re drunk,” the officer replies.

“Who cares if I’m drunk? I don't care if I'm drunk. “Don’t fucking come and leave*****,” she says.

The police officer then says that he didn't hit her before she gets up and stands up to look at him.

“Don’t piss me off,” the police officer says.

'What are you? Who are you? “Come on, come on,” says the mother as she lets the police officer over to her and takes off her shoulder bag.

“Here, come here, hold my purse,” she says as she hands her black purse to the other officer, who doesn’t grab her bag.

“Or get in with him, come on, let’s go,” she says as she taunts the officer.

The video ends with the mother agreeing to step aside and speak to the other officer as she continues belligerently screaming and cursing.

Then more patrol officers arrived and learned what happened as the mother and son were taken into the police car.
