New Year's Day 2024 started with a bang.

The 135th Rose Parade in Pasadena, California – a sleepy and affluent suburb of Los Angeles – was star-studded on Monday.

This year's theme was “Celebrating a World of Music,” which gave the morning parade an international feel.

Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child performed in the opening number.

Also in attendance was David Archuleta, who was the runner-up on American Idol in 2008.
