As of early Monday evening, authorities were still waiting for an update on her health status. The ages of these two people and any possible relationship between them were not specified.

After a two-hour operation, firefighters were finally able to bring the fire under control shortly after midnight.

Montreal police announced that residents of the building were evacuated.

When the firefighters have finished their work at the scene of the fire, the place will be secured for investigators so that they can analyze it and try to understand the exact circumstances of this event, indicated agent Caroline Chèvrefils at the door of the SPVM.
