Japan Airlines (JAL) reported that the plane on the runway at Haneda Airport was Flight 516, with about 400 passengers on board, coming from New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido Prefecture. During the landing phase, there was a collision with a Coast Guard aircraft on the runway and all passengers were able to escape along with the on-board personnel, reports Jal. However, the fate of the five people on board the Coast Guard flight is not yet known.
