The journalist and presenter of Rede Globo Jose Roberto Burnier posted a photo on Monday evening the 1st to reassure his fans and thank them for their love after he underwent emergency surgery on Saturday the 30th.
“I gained my third life, thank God! Thank you for the supportive messages. Have a great 2024 everyone!” wrote Burnier as he posted a selfie in the hospital.
On Friday 29, after a presentation by the local newspaper SP2 on TV Globo, Burnier felt unwell and went to the Sírio Libanês hospital. There the presenter was diagnosed with an acute myocardial infarction and underwent cardiac catheterization.
According to the hospital, an occlusion of the anterior descending coronary artery was detected and angioplasty of this artery was performed. The journalist's latest medical report states that he is stable and is being cared for by cardiologist Roberto Kalil Filho.

In 2019, Burnier was diagnosed with a tumor at the base of his tongue. He was away from the station for five months to undergo cancer treatment.
