The NFL fined Panthers owner David Tepper $300,000 for his “unacceptable behavior” in Jacksonville during Sunday's game.

“All NFL employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that respects our fans at all times “We will have a positive view of their team and the NFL,” the NFL said in a statement.

A video posted to social media on Sunday showed Tepper throwing a drink into the stands from his open-air suite at EverBank Stadium after Panthers rookie quarterback Bryce Young threw an interception.

Tepper eventually responded with a statement after the NFL announced the fine, but did not apologize for his actions.

“I am deeply passionate about this team and regret my behavior on Sunday,” he said in the statement. “I should have assigned NFL stadium security to handle any issues that arose. I respect the NFL Code of Conduct and accept the league’s discipline for my conduct.”

On November 26, Panthers beat reporters heard Tepper yelling an expletive as he left the locker room after a loss in Week 12. The next day he fired coach Frank Reich.

The Panthers have had six straight losing seasons since Tepper paid $2.75 billion for the team in 2018, and he has fired three head coaches in the season since 2019.
