Major preparations continue in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the All-Star Game, which will take place in Toronto on February 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
According to TSN journalist Chris Johnston, the NHL will announce the identities of the 32 athletes who will compete in this annual event. One player will be selected per team, while fans will have the opportunity to send twelve additional skaters to the Queen City via a voting system.

The four most popular players are named captains and have the opportunity to put together their respective teams via a draft system. As a reminder, this formula was also used in 2011, 2012 and 2015.
The best players in the Professional Women's Hockey League (LPHF) will also have the opportunity to compete against each other in a three-on-three game.
