However, since we at Silo 57 don't believe in throwing everything away to start over, you should take these recommendations with a grain of salt!
That's why we're suggesting alternatives to help you update your decor without having to put everything away.
Without further ado, here are the 4 decorating trends we'll be saying goodbye to in 2024:
1. Terrazzo
Some may describe this position as rather controversial, but in 2024 terrazzo will become less and less important in our environment. However, rest assured that this topping of Italian origin will remain a timeless choice. However, its use will be more discreet than in recent years, when it has enjoyed overwhelming popularity.
2. Mustard yellow
This year we're saying goodbye to mustard yellow accents and making way for earthier tones. So go for khaki, sand or walnut for an equally warm effect, but a little more current.
3. The curly one
Fluffy as it may be, boucle has undoubtedly been the essential material of recent years. If you want to innovate in 2024, choose corduroy instead. The latter is just as comfortable and luxurious as the buckle, but with a touch of originality.
4. The “Barbiecore” trend
Pink has been such a presence in 2023 that we're ready to give it a bit of a break in 2024. It's nothing against you, Barbie! However, if you like expressive decor with vibrant colors, check out the dopamine decor trend. Just as vibrant as Barbiecore, this style focuses more on our individuality and is known for improving mood, hence the name.
