Antônio's (Tony Ramos) silly state in Terra e Paixão was nothing more than a farce for him to take revenge on Agatha (Eliane Giardini). He was the one who pushed the woman down the stairs when she was already in pain from drinking poisoned tea from Angelina (Inez Viana). The housekeeper reveals that she rescued the farmer from the clutches of Caio's mother (Cauã Reymond) and that he feigned dementia.
The reveal will take place in the final week of Globo's nine o'clock soap opera, which ends on January 19th. Under pressure from Marino (Leandro Lima), Angelina tells the delegate that she changed the cups of tea prepared by Agatha because she saw the vixen put some powder in the drink. However, she will state that she did not know whether the herb planted was fatal.
Angelina will also reveal that Agatha immediately fell ill and that she said that she would have an antidote in her room for the herb she had put in the drink. Feeling sick and very weak, she went upstairs but found Antônio in front of her. Not only did the farmer not let the woman get what she was looking for, but he also pushed her from above.
Marino will find Angelina's speech strange and will remember that the rich man was disoriented when the police arrived at the villa shortly after the shots fired by Irene (Gloria Pires).
She will then remember a conversation she had with Caio in which he told her that the shaman Jurecê (Daniel Mundurukue) discovered that the herb Agatha put in Antônio's food was poisonous. The producer had asked the housekeeper to change the father's food and she did so.
In her report, Angelina will say that she heard the conversation between Antônio and Agatha and that it was completely clear. She will also say that she ran to her room in fear because she knew the press would soon be there because her exboss had called reporters to report Irene about Daniel's (Johnny Massaro) death.
Already in her room she heard Irene's shots, which Agatha found in agony at the foot of the mansion's stairs after drinking the poisoned tea and being thrown down the stairs by Antônio.
Terra e Paixão was written by Walcyr Carrasco and Thelma Guedes. The story takes place in the fictional town of Nova Primavera in Mato Grosso do Sul. The storyline will remain on air until January 19th and will be replaced by the remake of Renascer (1993).
